Legacy Kickboxing debut filled with exciting moments at LK1; Houston MMA pros cross over with successful victories
HOUSTON, TX – Friday, January 16th was a historic day for Houston-based Legacy Promotions as they hosted their first-ever televised professional kickboxing event. As it turns out, Legacy Kickboxing 1 was a resounding success with an exciting night of action televised on AXS TV.
Legacy Kickboxing 1 (LK1) featured a wide array of talent. From UFC vets Pat Barry and Miguel Torres to established kickboxing/crossover stars like Cosmo Alexandre, Marco Pique, and Valentina Schlevchenko. Some names very familiar to the Houston MMA scene even participated in the hometown show with pros Angel Huerta, Alex Morono and Justin Reiswerg all making their pro kickboxing debuts – and gaining victories.
As far as highlights go they were plentiful but Huerta’s domination of Miguel Torres in their bout had to be one of the finer points of the night. Same with Alex Morono winning by breaking the arm of fellow MMA’er and BJJ black belt Lucas Pimenta.
