Valentina “The Bullet” Shevchenko secures latest victory in LK3 main event
HOUSTON, TX – Legacy Kickboxing returned with their latest event, LK3 last Friday. The event took place at the Bayou Music Center in downtown Houston and was aired LIVE on AXS TV.
Headlining the card was MMA and kickboxing dual sport threat Valentina Shevchenko as she defeated fellow crossover star Anke Van Gestel by unanimous decision.
A bout pitting Houstonian Angel Huerta against Colorado native Justin Houghton was supposed to be featured as the co-main event but was scrapped last minute. It was cancelled after Huerta failed to make weight and an agreement could not be reached in order to save the bout.
Manny Mancha and Andres Van Engelen moved on in the light heavyweight tournament quarterfinals while UFC vet Sean Soriano debuted in Legacy with a TKO victory over Josh Glover.
Other main card winners included Richard Abraham, Jordan Weiland and Nethaneel Mongonia.
