TXMMA Technique of the Week – Jeff Raquel of Solis Martial Arts Demonstrates the Gator Choke

Jeff Raquel, Solis Martial Arts

HOUSTON, TX, July 12, 2011 – For this week’s TXMMA Technique of the Week, we go to Jeff Raquel of the Solis Martial Arts academy up in Humble, TX for his video demonstration of the Gator Choke.

An innnovative baseball choke from the bottom position, this submission is actually initiated while the opponent believes he has the advantage, attemping to pass into side control. In fact, most people in the crowd may even think the same thing if they haven’t seen this move before… only to find out different when when the position is reversed and bottom player stands up while the passing opponent is rolled over unconscious.

Very slick technique, Jeff!
