XKO 20 set for Saturday, Nov. 23 in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX, November 20, 2013 – Xtreme Knockout and the Bussey family return with their latest professional MMA event scheduled for the DFW area this Saturday with XKO 20 taking place back at The GYM in Arlington.

Women’s MMA takes center stage

The card features some up-and-coming prospects as usual and is anchored by Team Mohler’s Amber Stautzenberger making her second trip into the XKO cage after debuting in the promotion’s first female bout ever this past March. She’s be facing her most experienced challenge yet at XKO 20 in the main event of the evening when she takes on Colorado native “The Ladie” Lacey Schuckman, a 14-fight veteran who’s fought for Invicta and Strikeforce in the past. Important to note is that Shuckman is taking this fight with Amber on about two-weeks notice so we’ll see how that affects her come fight night.

Also fighting on the women’s side is one-fight pro veteran Sabrina Garcia. She’s also making her second foray into XKO after besting 2011 TXMMA (amateur) Female Fighter of the year Jade De Haas in her debut this past summer. Sabrina “The Machina” won 3 out of 3 as an amateur and looked impressive in dominating De Haas at XKO 19. Her opponent Alice Yauger has far less experience as far as MMA goes but is a former pro boxer with judo experience so that may or may not play into her favor depending on how she applies it in this new endeavor.

Other Top Prospects to watch at XKO 20

Aside from the ladies, there are a few other up-and-coming prospects to watch on the men’s side as well.

First, coming back by way of Rob Stucker’s Chop Shop MMA is highly-touted 22 year old Chris Gutierrez. He scored a brutal TKO win by flying knee over Tristan Grimsley at XKO 19 that would have been a TXMMA Knockout of the Year candidate had the referee stepped in just a little faster. Too bad for that but he does get another chance for an award nomination if he succeeds against Next Generation’s Brandon Seyler. A Pennsylvania native, the 24 year old is undefeated himself at 2-0 and came to NG presumably as part of Chris Brennan’s fight camp tryouts that also brought forth Matt “SMG” Lozano. Considering Lozano’s recent success against Klayton Mai at Legacy FC 23, ir would be foolish to overlook Seyler so this one should be a very good bout and legitimate ‘fight of the night’ candidate.

Also set to compete in this card is 23 year old MMA prospect Leville Simpson. Fighting out of Twin Wolves MMA in Killeen, Leville has gone 3-1 so far as a pro following 9 amateur fights. He’ll be taking on Aaron Culpepper, always the fighter willing to take on tough fights, though he hasn’t experienced much success losing 4 out of his last 5.

XKO 20 also features some other tough, game competitors including Josh Foster out of Longview who takes on James Hall and NDBJJ’s Fernando Salas who returns versus Alex Melendez. Debut fighter Alex Martins also comes in after much success on the Texas and national BJJ circuit when takes on fellow debut fighter Abdul Razak Alhassan.
