SCC 4 Celebrates The Life Of Dustin Creekmore; Complete Results From Galveston

GALVESTON, TX, August 4, 2013 – It keeps getting better and better for Galveston Island based MMA promotion Superior Combative Championships. The promotional group held their fourth show this past Friday night at the Galveston Island Convention Center and when it came to the action inside the cage, it may have been their best yet with the promise of more to come.

Aside from the MMA sporting action, he show was held for a more significant purpose as well.

SCC 4 was held in honor of former SCC fighter Dustin Creekmore who tragically passed away April 27^th following a fire at the Beaumont Exxon Mobil facility just ten days prior that left him badly burned. SCC 4: A tribute to Dustin Creekmore was meant to honor his memory and also to provide a little bit of help for his family as he leaves behind a baby girl. Donations in excess of $1,400 went towards his family while the show honored him through video and personal testimonials from those close to him along with some words from promoter Stephen Lawhorn as they retired his gloves:

“”Dustin Creekmore will forever be remembered by SCC as a man of firsts. Dustin was one of the first fighters to call when Superior Combative Championships was getting started. He arrived in Galveston to train with the organization within a couple of months, bringing with him a great enthusiasm for MMA and an admirable never-quit attitude. He’ll forever be known as a part of the SCC family and God bless him. We’ll always keep him in our hearts and will fight on in his honor.”
