Trio of title fights produce 3 new SCC champions to kick off 2014 schedule

1622613_10152087740387550_84695707_nGALVESTON, TX, February 16, 2014 – The Galveston Island Convention Center was once again the scene for the only consistent MMA show on the island as Superior Combative Championships put on their sixth event in front of a packed house in attendance. Led by Al Garza, Stephen Lawhorn and crew, SCC is unlike most other MMA shows one might see as they proudly market their core values as a Christian faith based organization. From the fight night invocation to how they want fighter to choose walkout songs and how they ask fans to handle themselves, it’s all very evident, and yet despite the purity of the message the fights themselves always seem to stand out as action-packed (yes, violent) as ever. Superior Combative Championships 6 (SCC 6) was headlined by three title fights. At the top of the card was a heavyweight main event (literally) with Jeremy “Nightmare” Hardy defending his title against Xtreme Couture-trainer Tyler, TX resident Jason “Predator” Preston. Next up was an intriguing battle featuring Chad Box coming up 30 pounds from welterweight to fight Danny Orr for the light heavyweight title. Last but not least David “Machine Gun” Kelly would go for a title (and win) in just his third amateur fight against another up-and-coming talent in Dominic Wiltz. The action wouldn’t stop there either with ten more fights to round off an impressive first card of the year for SCC. We’d talk more here but let’s just provide the quick results, photos, and fight videos as they all speak for themselves. Thank you Galveston area SCC fight fans for following along with your source for all things MMA-related in the state of Texas, TXMMA.com.   Superior Combative Championships 6 – Quick Results for February 15th in Galveston, TX
