ARLINGTON, TX, October 22, 2012 – Professional MMA returned to The GYM in Arlington this past Saturday with Xtreme Knockout and the Bussey family putting on their latest offering, entitled XKO 16.

This time around, the event would feature two title bouts on top of a nine-fight card that proved to be quite the exciting night overall for the diehard crowd in attendance.

Highlighting the evening was the Gym’s own Donnie “Bomber” Bell coming back from his first loss in four fights to submit previously unbeaten Brad Mitchell of Octagon MMA in the first round of their lightweight title fight.

An experienced amateur before turning pro, the 38 year old Bell is known in MMA circles as a strong sprawl-and-brawl styled fighter but it was not to be on this night as Bell was able to take him down quickly before catching his back and the rear-naked choke in transition to secure the tapout and the XKO belt.

Also winning a title in Arlington was XKO veteran Chris Pecero. Traveling all the way from Corpus Christi, the American Revolution fighter went toe-to-toe with Team Mohler’s Douglas Frey for the better part of a round and a half before securing his own win by rear-naked choke submission to win the XKO featherweight belt.

As for the undercard, it too was filled with equally impressive performances, including impressive comeback wins by Alex Russ and Ciprian Hangan who both won with finishes over Tristan Grimsley and Jabari Shakur respectively.

Several other young prospects performed well also with only fight on the night reaching the judges’ scorecards. Check out the quick results below and comment your thoughts on where you think these fighters are headed in the near future.
