ARLINGTON, TX, June 13, 2011 – The preliminary fight card has been released for the Xtreme Knockout (XKO) 11 event set to take place at Arlingon’s The Gym on Saturday, July 23rd of next month.

With XKO 11 serving as the first LIVE taping for the the promotion’s new weekly TV Show XTREME KNOCKOUT set to air on their new broadcast home over at TXA 21, promoters Thomas and Chris Bussey pulled out all the stops to make sure this first card will be an exciting one for the live crowd in attendance along with the viewers who’ll be watching the event on television.

In the main event of the evening, XKO bantamweight champion Steven “Ocho” Peterson will be making his first title defense against Alex “Warpath” Russ. This bout will be a classic duel of ground wizards as the submission-focused champion from NDMMA will be taking on his Team Absolute counterpart to see who can wrestle control of the bantamweight belt when all is said and done.

Speaking of powerful wrestlers, JJ Holmes (2-0) of Alliance will be making an appearance on this card as well as he’s set to take on fellow undefeated XKO veteran Jacob Brannan, also 2-0.

Joining them on the card are a bevy of up-and-coming fighters from the Dallas area and beyond like Chris “Kano” Gregoire, Chris Pecero, and Brad Mitchell along with Texas MMA mainstay Brandon McDowell (32-31).  All in all, Dallas area fans should expect an exciting night of action when this one rolls around in little more than one months’ time.
