Press Release – Official Fight Card for Legacy Fighting Championship 7 on HDNet

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX, July 13, 2011 – With Legacy Fighting Championship 7 on HDNet just one week away, Legacy is proud to announce the official fight card for the event set to emanate from Houston’s Arena Theater and to be broadcast live to our nationwide audience on July 22nd starting at 10PM EST/9PM Central.

In the main event of the evening, Houston’s own Carlo Prater will take on UFC veteran and former Ultimate Fighter: Season 9 semi-finalist Cameron Dollar. Prater enters this Legacy bout with a two-fight MMA win streak (two first-round submissions) while Denver’s Cameron Dollar will look to continue the momentum of his own five-fight streak with no defeats in MMA Competition.

The Legacy FC 7 co-feature of the night will have the Legacy featherweight championship on the line as defending titleholder Daniel Pineda takes on incoming challenger Frank Gomez. Heading into this bout, the champion has won his last three fights (all against former Legacy champions) while Gomez, a WEC veteran out of the vaunted Jackson’s MMA camp, has won his last two fights on the way to this Legacy FC title opportunity.

Also fighting on the card is UFC and HDNet fight veteran Pete “The Secret Weapon” Spratt. A 42-fight veteran, Pete comes to Houston looking to stave off the challenge of knockout-minded relative newcomer Antonio Flores, who enters this bout with an 80% finish rate in his five MMA wins.

The rest of the televised main card for Legacy FC 7 features three exciting bouts for HDNet viewers and the live crowd in attendance.

A former Legacy bantamweight champion, Chad Robichaux is set to make his Legacy FC return after taking on Bellator titleholder Zach Makovsky against another of the promotion’s veteran in Jonathan Mackles.

Rounding off Legacy’s maiden debut on HDNet, Rey Trujillo and Jesus Rivera will try to recreate the magic of their 2010 Legacy ‘Fight of the Year’ while up-and-coming lightweights Justin Reiswerg and Marc Ramirez look to climb their way up in the Legacy FC rankings.
