First tournament of 2016 F2W/WGC competition season a success with TOC 17 leading into PRO2 Event

HOUSTON, TX – Fight to Win Promotions and the World Grappling Circuit put on the first competition of the 2016 season this past Saturday at the Revention Center in downtown Houston. A precursor to that night’s Fight to Win PRO 2 at the same venue, Tournament of Champions 17 was  attended by about 450 competitors.

Despite the fact that some of the area’s top grapplers were competing that night and hence out of the competition during the day, there was still plenty of competition to be had with competitors such as Lucas Valente, Patrick Chancey, Damion Oranday, Maribel Ramirez, Valerie Covey and many others on the mats vying for top spots in the adult brackets.

Likewise in the kids and teen divisions with William and Andrew Tackett, Freddy Marquez, Jasmine Johnson and others also competing and taking home some medals.

At the end of the day, the overall team title was won by Gracie Barra with Team Tooke and Elite MMA behind them to put points on the board to kick off 2016.
