Crowe vs. Giles the fight to watch at Fury FC 8; Several other prospects set to fight on Friday night

560699_10150738766074293_1001095680_n2HUMBLE, TX – Fury Fighting Championship 8 happens this Friday night at the Humble Civic Center and it should be an exciting one. The card features an exciting main event along with the return of a few interesting prospects looking to make their way up the regional pro rankings.

The main event of the evening at Fury FC 8 will feature a clash between a grizzled veteran and a rising young prospect. At 9-5 overall, 31 year old Larry Crowe has seen his share of action. He’s gone so far as to have been involved in two main even title fights for Legacy FC, both losses. Look beyond those missteps however and Larry will always be the type of explosive fighter that can be a threat to any opponent. Facing Crowe will be 23 year old phenom Trevin Giles. The Elite MMA fighter and Eric Williams pupil has gone undefeated at the pro level, going 3-0 in his first three bouts. With Larry’s explosive finishing ability this should be the toughest test yet for Giles, but a win here should rocket his trajectory way upwards as an immediate title contender type for any regional promotion. And for Larry, a win here after two crushing losses would inject some much needed life into his own career as well. It’s a very pivotal fight for both men.

61198_10151251437479293_1379208345_n1-200x300Another interesting fight further down the card features forever prospect Domingo Pilarte stepping back into the cage after 8 months off versus DFW-based Javier Obregon. Domingo has been talked about as a legit prospect for going on five whole years now, but his activity has been minimal – with him fighting on average of once a year, and that’s being generous. This will be his second tilt of 2015 though so maybe he’s finally ramping it up and putting those dynamic striking and ground skills to good use. He’ll be taking on Javier in this one, a fighter who once achieve championship status for STFC but has been on a bit of a losing streak as of late – four fights in a row so far and 7 of his last 8.

Another interesting prospect to watch at Fury FC 8 is Team Tooke’s Cameron Graves. He’ll be making his pro debut after 6 straight wins as an amateur versus James “Tank” Gonzales. Tank is an abysmal 1-7 as a professional in his career but does retain some knockout power in both hands so he should be an ideal debut opponent for “Camelot.”

The rest of the Fury FC 8 card features a mixture of returning longtime veterans and rising prospects.

“Hurricane” Ike Villanueva making his return to the cage in the light heavyweight division against fellow journeyman Kyle Keeney. Kolton Englund will look for his third pro win against debut fighter EJ Turner. And a pair of former Silverback Fight Club fighters are slated to return with Scotty Juarez and Tony Orozco both on the card against Kody Williams and Yan Digilov respectively.
