Russian sambo specialist Ramil Mustapayev wins out over Kevin Holland in main event

11831824_511728372317162_4748152425486880629_nABILENE, TX – Genesis Combat Sports was back in action last weekend with Key City Chaos 2 taking place at the Taylor County Expo Center. Featuring 7 fights overall with 6 of them being professional bouts. Nearly every bout save for one ended in a submission or KO/TKO finish. And judging by comments from those in attendance, the one that didn’t was still a fan-friendly affair.

Starting off there in the main event, Russian sambo expert Ramil Mustapayev was able to impose his game and win a clear decision over Fort Worth native Kevin “Trailblazer” Holland. The victory brings the Russian’s record up to 2-1 overall and 2-0 since moving to Albuquerue, BM from his native Moscow. To this point in his career his lone loss was to Bellator vet Andre Santos in his debut, and that was when Santos was 36-9 and he had 0 fights on his record. Suffice it to say, there may be promising times ahead for the Russian.

As for the 22 year old out of Team Lutter, it’s back to the drawing board. Kevin Holland had not been defeated at all previously, going 3-0 as an amateur and 3-0 as a pro headed into this bout. A loss at this point certainly stings a little given how fast he was rising but he should be back in short order with another tough test against Geoff Neal coming up closer to home at XKO.

As for the rest of the card, big winners including Alec Williams with the knockout of the night over Jesse Riley early in the first round of their fight and Justin Davenport winning by TKO in the second round his co-main event against Tomas Gomez.
