Youth grapplers on display once again at Battle 4 the Ages Gi World Championship

11140272_10153215328164293_5735157619500735542_nBEDFORD, TX – Battle 4 the Ages concluded their latest event with BFA 5 taking place at the Oasis Community Worship Center in Bedford, TX this past weekend. A youth-only BJJ tournament series, Battle 4 the Ages aims at finding the very best talent in the world with their age-centric tournament brackets. Essentially there are no weight classes or distinctions in rank. The only way brackets are set up is based on age, with competitors from 8-16 years of age all competing to be the best of their age group. Likewise, female competitors also have their own divisions to compete in as well, with a preteen and teen female division option to go along with the male age groups. Female grapplers can compete in both, and many take advantage.

As for this weekend, BFA 5 featured some of the best yet again, with winners including:

  • 8 years old – Matthew Serrano – Mamute Martial Arts Academy – Canada
  • 9 years old – Kaden Thomas – GHOW BJJ – Texas
  • 10 years old – Lee Roy Gutierrez – Champion’s Factory BJJ – Texas
  • 11 years old – Dillinger Kovach – Kovach Jiu Jitsu- Texas
  • 12 years old – Colton Zeisloft – Gracie Barra New Mexico – New Mexico
  • 13 years old – William Tackett – Rabadi BJJ – Texas
  • 14 years old – Roberto Jimenez – Alliance Team Gacho – Texas
  • 15 years old – Logan Santos – Creighton MMA – Georgia
  • 16 years old – Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani – Royce Gracie NoNo MMA – California
