Team Takedown’s undefeated prospect facing opponent with identical record

DALLAS, TX – Boasting a purple belt in BJJ, an undefeated professional MMA record, and the 2014 TXMMA People’s Choice award for Rookie of the Year, Mark DeLaRosa has all the lights shining on his bright path ahead of him.

At only 20 years old, DeLaRosa currently holds a 2-0 professional record. Training out of Team Takedown, Genesis BJJ, and Reyes Boxing, the young fighter is making all the stops as he prepares to take on Keeton Gorton at Legacy Fighting Championship 38 on Friday, February 13th.

“I love to train and fight, it is all I do and all I think about. I have come a long way from my first amateur fight. I am more experienced and I have learned a lot and corrected a lot of my game. I learn every day in training. I am like wine I get better in time.”

DeLaRosa’s opponent, Gordon, holds an identical 2-0 record and will be fighting for Legacy FC for the second time. DeLaRosa respects his opponent, but is confident he will take care of business come fight night.

“It will be a good fight. Gordon is the third undefeated fighter I will face. I have actually seen both of his professional fights in person. He trains out of Chop Shop and Grip Game and is good everywhere, but I see me finishing him by submission, KO, or TKO.”

This will be the first time DeLaRosa fights for Legacy FC. He is very eager to show off his talents in front of a major promotion.

“I am very excited to fight for Legacy. It feels great to be with a big MMA promotion. I am hoping to get more experience and get my name out there. I cannot wait to prove myself. Legacy is a big promotion and I would like to give them and my fans a finish.”

DeLaRosa has set big goals for himself within the sport and is driven to achieve each and every one of them.

“It feels good to know that TXMMA has seen all my hard work in the last year, but I am not done. I am young and hungry for more wins. I see myself racking up big wins and winning some professional titles. My main goal is to train hard, stay hungry, and keep improving as a fighter so I can make it to one of the big shows.”
