Darryl Orr overcomes uneasy opening to defend 185 lbs. title; 3 more champions crowned at EAC 8
LAKE JACKSON, TX – CDM Promotions was back in action this past weekend after an almost one year absence. This time around they were at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College for Elite Amateur Combat 8. The EAC 8 fight card included nine bouts overall with local favorite Danny Orr of Fight Science Fitness Center taking CJ Hancock in a rematch of July matchup at Legacy.
Speaking on that main event matchup, it sure brought fireworks. The crowd was never louder than during that bout. It was as exciting as it was billing to be with Hancock getting the jump on Orr with an early knockdown. The champion defended well and recomposed himself to win out by TKO in the second round.
