SCC 8 features welterweight title fight between two tough contenders; Multiple-time flyweight champion Jacob Silva returns to fight for title
GALVESTON, TX, July 31, 2014 – It’s almost fight time in Galveston once again as SCC returns to The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center this Friday night. Those that have attended SCC events in the past might know them for their family-friendly atmosphere. This one promises to be no different and should be a good time for all.
Superior Combative Championships 8 is will present an exciting night of action for Galveston area MMA fans. At the top of the card is a welterweight title bout between two experienced warriors. AFMA’s Dominic Wiltz earned his shot after 3 wins in 4 fights with the promotion while ACS strongman Fabian Galavez takes the SCC cage for the second time after defeating Dominique Robinson by first round submission last August. Given their credentials and high-paced styles, this main event should be a good one.
Also fighting in SCC for the first time is Jacob Silva. Coming up as a member of the now-dormant Silverback Fight Club, Silva has already won numerous titles on the amateur scene – for nearly every organization in Houston. Now fighting out of Quicksilva MMA, he’ll look to win another one this Friday night. His opponent is to be Daniel Turner of SOL Combat Club. He’s sure to bring a strong fight to combat his seasoned opponent.
