3 title fights headline Belts of Honorius 6 fight card this Saturday in Austin

AUSTIN, TX, June 18, 2014 – Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) action returns to the ATX this coming Saturday night and it’s shaping up to be a fun night of fights. Starting early at 5PM, Belts of Honorius 6 takes place once again at Emo’s Austin on Riverside. Put on by Nael Chavez and the Enlightened Warriors organization, Belts of Honorius (BOH) has several aims. They want to be the premier promotion for young fighters aspiring to be pros but also want their events to serve a higher purpose as well. BOH shows are critical in funding Enlightened Warriors’ mission of keeping at-risk youth off the streets. As for the fights themselves, they’ve historically been entertaining and exciting, and this Saturday promises to be no different.

Headlining Belts of Honorius 6 is a women’s MMA title bout featuring “Ferocious” Fatima Mallett (3-0) taking on Roxanna Ceasear (3-2). It will be the first title bout for both. Fatima has won all three of her amateur bouts so far headed into this one and should be primed for the opportunity. Roxanne is a bit more of a mystery having fought primarily in West Texas and out of state but she’s sure to be game as well for what is shaping up to be an exciting main event.

BOH 6 features two additional title fights as well.

In the lightweight division Peyton Burns (3-0) takes on Christopher Marks (2-0) with the 155 lbs. belt on the line. A student at Texas State University, Burns has won all three of his BOH fights so far while finishing 2 out of 3 opponents. Meanwhile Christopher Marks has finished both of his past opponents as well so this should be an evenly matched bout befitting of co-main event status.

Last but not least in title action we go to the flyweight divison where Kevin “Ewok” Morin (2-4) takes on DFW-based Blake Wells (3-1). Records-wise the F3 fighter Wells should walk in as the prohibitive favorite and rightfully so as he’s a threat both on the feet and the ground. With that being said, Morin is always down to scrap so fans should expect nonstop action in this one.
