Grappling Fight Team wins team title at Spring Classic; Misael Miranda conquers adult black belt absolute division

HOUSTON, TX, April 28, 2014 – The American Grappling Federation (AGF) was back in action this past weekend in Houston. Their 2014 Spring Classic marked their most successful Houston BJJ tournament yet. Roughly 220 competitors showed up to roll at the Competitive Edge complex and the matches were flowing all day long. AGF also made an adjustment with their weigh-in process for this one. Perhaps that had to do with it but there was no crowding in the bullpen and everything ran as efficient as ever.

AGF now moves to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the 2014 Tulsa Open next weekend before returning to Texas for the 2014 Dallas BJJ Championships in Arlington on June 7th.

As for the overall team titles at the Spring Classic, Grappling Fight Team (GFT) led the way with a strong performance from their contingent out of Paradigm Training Center and also some coming in to compete from other cities around Texas. Also coming it at the top was Gracie Barra, which was led by their team from GB Westchase. Team Tooke closed out the overall team standings in third place.
