Misael Miranda splits black belt division with Junior Show; Plenty of great matches throughout the day
HOUSTON, TX, April 21, 2014 – Grand Prix Grappling was back in Houston on April 5th for their first tournament of the year. Entitled the Texas International Grappling Festival, this competition featured close to 300 competitors. It also featured a super fight between new school owner Pablo Silva and SMAA black belt Spenser Gilliam.
Some of the other competing black belts included Chris Westfall, Julian Vega, Jordan Rivas, and more. As for the final winners in that open weight bracket, it was Misael Miranda once again in the finals as he split the prize with incoming Brazilian Junior Show, who will now be teaching in San Antonio.
Plenty of other great grapplers at all levels at this tournament as well. We recorded over three and a half hours of matches for this one so check them all out below.
