Constant readiness made it easy for Abilene fighter to accept short notice bout

ABILENE, TX, January 13, 2014 – “I don’t have cable at home, so I don’t get to keep up with certain shows,” said Brandon Farran to us respectfully when discussing his upcoming opponent and Bellator Fightmaster season 1 finalist Mike “The Greek” Bronzoulis. The two fight this week on Thursday, January 16th in Fort Wotth as part of Triple A MMA’s first Texas card, entitled “Caged Hostility.” It’s a fight Brandon took only nine days notice but one he feels ready for, regardless of the length of time he had to prepare or his opponent’s background.

“When you own a fitness and MMA gym you have to look the part,” said Brandon, who does indeed manage Revolutionary Fitness & MMA in Abilene. Going further, he explained that running classes at his gym and just being present day-in and day-out forces him to stay in shape year round with the goal of conveying the team’s fitness philosophy.

At 28 years old Brandon Farran is no stranger to the MMA game. He now has 18 fights officially as a pro and all but one have ended in a finish. That should spell volumes about who he is and how he fights. He’s also most recently won 3 out of his last 4 and is looking to carry that momentum into the near future. “I want to capture of the dream of making it to the big leagues. I have a very deceiving record, so my goal is to fight nothing but big names and win this year so I can get there.”

“I took this fight with Mike Bronzoulis because I believe he is a worthy opponent and I want to fight the best of the best, so that the best ‘me’ is brought out. I’m very well aware of Mike and who he is. To be honest I think he a very well-rounded fighter who trains hard. He’s a great opponent and it’s going to be a great (fight). You really can’t predict fights, but anyone who has seen me fight knows I want to keep it standing and always go for the finish!”

Moving forward Brandon hopes a win here is just the start of a great year ahead for him and his Team Hostile Takeover / Future Fitness Fight Team. He says he already has a fight lined up against (UFC vet) Corey Hill in Louisiana. Full steam ahead for him, he says.

“Texas MMA fans…this is a fight you won’t want to miss! I would like to thank my sponsors; Lajedan properties, Big Country MMA, Tim and Mandie Whitecotton, Ryan and DeAnn Starks, Mission Abilene, Musgrave Enterprise, and The Ink Station for aiding me in the pursuit of my dreams!”
