Legacy Fighting Championship 25 now official for Friday, Nov. 15 in Houston, TX; Complete Weigh-In Coverage
HOUSTON, TX, November 15, 2013 – Legacy Fighting Championship 25 (LFC 25) is now official after the professional MMA event weigh-ins concluded last evening at Hughes Hangar in the Washington Corridor near downtown Houston. Hosted by event sponsor Ready Every Second (RES), this particular event marked the very first public weigh-in for the four year old promotion.
All fights form Legacy Fighting Championship 25 (LFC 25) are now a go after everyone cleared the weigh-in hurdle minus one Olympic Gold Medalist as Henry Cejudo failed to even make it to weigh-ins after a failed weight cut. The news circulating as of yesterday was that he got sick during the weight-cut process but reports out of the previous week also suggested that he tried to move the weight for his planned flyweight bout with Humberto Deleon on at least one occasion, promoting Deleon to drop out of the bout exasperated with his opponent. North Carolina based fighter Saul Elizondo (originally out of South Texas) then stepped up to take the bout with the 2008 Olympian, only to be seen without an opponent at weigh-ins as Cejudo no-showed altogether.
As for the rest of fights, they’re all on. It took challenger Carlos Diego Ferreira an extra hour to shed the last half pound for his lightweight title fight versus Jorge Macaco Patino but that mission was accomplished and they’re now set for the main event of the evening. Likewise with new co-main event fighters Lester Batres and Frank Trevino along with the rest of the card below.
