San Antonio Amateur MMA Results and Highlights from CEC 12 at Cowboys Dance Hall
SAN ANTONIO, TX – Premiere Combat Group returned with their latest San Antonio amateur MMA event earlier this month with Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting 12 taking place at Cowboys Dance Hall on Saturday, August 17th.
CEC 12 featured eleven fights in total with a thrilling PCG amateur lightweight title fight in the main event pitting Texas Powerhouse MMA fighter Shawn Cool taking on Paragon Texas fighter Tommy Guerrero.
The two fought tooth-and-nail in what was said to be a very exciting bout with Shawn Cool taking both the win and the Premiere Combat Group 155 lbs. amateur title by unanimous decision.
The rest of the card also featured some exciting action with only two other bouts going to the judges’ scorecards. Meanwhile for the rest of the card, the crowd in attendance at Cowboys was treated to six submission finishes and a TKO. Not bad for a night of amateur MMA action, to say the least.
Notable winners included Bobby Alexander and Isaiah Gutierrez, both of Travis Lutter’s BJJ. The two DFW-based fighters moved their record to 3-1 and 4-1 respectively with wins at CEC 12.

145 lbs.: Devin Cowan over Gerardo Rodriguez by unanimous decision.
145 lbs.: Jonah Gomez over Oswald Sanchez by submission (triangle choke), RD1
145 lbs.: Junior Flores over Damian Alfaro by unanimous decision
135 lbs.: Mitchell Bruner over Chaz Nakamura by submission (RNC), RD2
