SAN ANTONIO, TX, May 17, 2012 – LIVE mixed martial arts action returns to the San Antonio area this Saturday night with Premier Combat Group’s latest rendition of Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting located at 3030 Northeast Loop 410.
This upcoming May 19th show will mark the promotion’s third outing of 2012 after two exciting shows this past January and March that saw PCG put out 20 exciting amateur fights in total. Those shows featured some exciting fights for Central Texas MMA fans, including a likely TXMMA amateur KO of the year candidate in the bout that saw Johnny “The Judge” Rodriguez finish Josh Rios with a flying knee to win the PCG 145 lbs. title.
Nine fights in total fill up the card this time around, with some of Central Texas’ top training centers represented – including Rodrigo Pinheiro BJJ, Marra Senki, and many others.
As for the names listed, plenty of the young fighters listed on the card may be unfamiliar so far but they’ll be looking to make a case for more recognition with their performances Saturday night.
Also notable for this event is that two women will be headlining the entire event when Laredo’s Jessica Prado takes on U.S. Army vet and Austin resident Katherine Roy.
