American Grappling Federation Team Challenge Concludes With $3,000 Prize Winners
BURLESON, TX, July 22, 2013 – The American Grappling Federation’s 2013 AGF Southern Regionals happened this past weekend with the event taking place at Burleson High School just south of the Fort Worth metropolitan area.
The 2013 AGF Southern Regionals event featured the conclusion of the super-fight team challenge series that American Grappling Federation has been hosting for the majority of 2013 thus far. Previous AGF events put up $1,000 to the winning teams in the ‘best of three’ no-gi team competitions but this time the stakes were raised with $3,000 to the winner in the season finale.
Winning the Team Challenge at the 2013 AGF Southern Regionals was War Tribe Gear sponsored team of Carlos Diego Ferreira, Derrick Krantz, and 4x Judo Olympian Brian Olson. The War Tribe trio was able to beat a field that included some tough competition – including tough wrestlers Colton Smith and Shane Lees along with longtime BJJ black belts like Albert Hughes and Tony Tipton.

As for the rest of the action at the tournament, it was highlighted by some great performances put on by local area teams, primarily BQuick JJ Network and Fitness Fight Factory.
