Gold Team’s David Acosta wins title in an exciting affair, Colbey Northcutt wins in co-main event, and more.

Legacy Amateur Series 12 took place at Houston’s Arena Theater last night, June 8th.

With fourteen fights featured on what ended up being a fantastic fight card, plenty of Houston’s young talent got a chance to showcase themselves in front of a crowd in attendance that included Houston area firefighters who got to watch the show for free courtesy of Legacy FC promoter Mick Maynard.

Legacy Amateur Series 12 was highlighted by an absolutely action-packed main event as Gold Team’s David Acosta and ACS fighter Chris Rivera traded blows for four exciting rounds. At the end of it all Acosta ended up walking away with the win by TKO ref stoppage along with the Legacy 125 lbs. amateur belt.

Plenty of other thrilling fights on the undercard as well as the show featured no less than 3 split decisions. Aside from those closely-contested bouts a few fighters also walked away with convincing victories in this one. This included the Northcutt siblings (Colbey and Sage) from Team Hoger who both won by submission along with John Villalobos (McCall MMA). Zack Hunter (Elite MMA), and Ryan Montie (Hoger) who all won by tapout as well.

Below are complete results from Legacy Amateur Series 12 along with a slideshow of select photos from the event. You can catch the comprehensive event gallery on www.mikecalimbas.com.
