Javi Obregon wins featherweight title; Danny Salinas picks up quick TKO win
STFC 25 took place on May 24th in McAllen. The event was anchored by a featherweight title bout pitting RGV native David (DJ) Fuentes against DFW native Javier Obregon in what would amount to a close and competitive bout that resulted in the Team Lutter representative (Obregon) becoming the new STFC 145 lbs. champion.
Also highlighting the event was a big win by Edinburg-based Danny Salinas who took out opponent George Cortez within the first 10 seconds of round one (7 seconds to be exact) after dropping him with the first punch he threw. Very impressive win here for Salinas who now move to 11-5 overall as a pro.
