Event Preview – Xtreme Knockout returns with 17th event (XKO 17) on Saturday, January 12th

XKO-17-poster-web1ARLINGTON, TX, January 2, 2012 – The first professional MMA card of 2013 for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex takes place less than two weeks from now on Saturday, January 12th in Arlington with Xtreme Knockout’s 17th MMA event at The Gym.

At the top of the XKO 17 card is a light heavyweight main event featuring Corpus Christi native Chris Pecero taking on a surging Matt Hunt. This bout replaces the originally planned main event featuring Rashad Coulter taking on Ciprian Hangan as seen on the event poster.

Also on the card is a pair of teammates to watch in Armando Servin and Delis Borges.

“The Latin Assassin” (Servin) will be stepping in with 2 wins in a row going undefeated in 2012 as he looks to make it three in a row with a win over debuting fight Daniel Polomsky – who despite his lack of experience trains with guys like Chris Jones and Marcus Hicks so this one could be a sleeper as a fight to watch out for.

Meanwhile, Delis “Cuba” Borges will also be making his own case as a prospect to watch when he takes on fellow debuter Jacob Capelli.

A pair of Silverback Fight Club members from Houston also make the card as David Armas and Edgar Verdin step in on short notice against Jaime Anaya and Hayward Charles respectively.

As for the rest of the XKO 17 card, it remains to be seen who will make noise. Given their current records or debut status in a lot of cases, it should be expected that just about all fighters will be fighting with something to prove come Saturday January 12th and time will tell who comes out of this one looking like a force to contend with in the near future.

Check out the card below and let us know who you’re looking forward to seeing come fight night.
