HOUSTON, TX, December 11, 2012 – We’re 10 days away from the last MMA card of the year here in the Bayou City and it should be a good one with Garcia Promotions returning to the Humble Civic Center on December 21st for Cage Combat 12.
Featuring two title fights on top of the card, this one promises to end the year in Houston MMA off with a bang.
We’ll talk about the rest of the fights on the card including the women’s championship rematch between Paulina Granados and Stephanie Alba in short order but for now we focus on the main event of the evening – pitting Silverback Fight Clubs Eric “Da Monster” Thompson against Trevin Giles of Elite MMA.
Curiously enough, Thompson started his MMA journey at Elite where his opponent trains now but he has a long story aside from that as well – including personal beforehand and redemption for himself afterwards with his move to Silverback Fight Club and the personal goals he’s now set for himself – including winning the middleweight title at Cage Combat 12!
