New 145 lbs. champion Parker “Spiderman” Reed

SAN ANTONIO, TX, December 6, 2012 – Premiere Combat Group opened up the month of December in Texas MMA this past Saturday with their ninth Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting (CEC) show at Cowboys Dance Hall.

Fans in attendance were treated to nine total bouts on the evening with the promotion crowning new champions in the featherweight and middleweight divisions.

Former PCG 145 lbs. champ and now 1-0 pro Elias “Smash” Garcia was on hand to turn over his belt to new champion Parker Reid after he defeated Cage Quest champion Boone Blair, using his wrestling to win the narrow split decision in the December 1st Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting main event.

New 185 lbs. champion Chad Box

Also winning in title action was Chad Box after besting Travis Moore in their rematch. The two first met at Killeen’s Cage Wars event this past April – a fight Moore won by first round triangle choke.  It was different this time as Box was able to get a quick takedown and win via GNP about a minute and thirty into the fight. Moore was seen walking out with an apparent shoulder injury while Box left the cage as the new PCG middleweight champion.

Highlighting the rest of the undercard action was a female fight featuring Sabrina Garcia versus Katherine Roy. The two battled in every phase of the fight whether it be standing or on the ground and were given a standing ovation at the fight’s conclusion with Garcia taking home the unanimous decision win for her third win of the year.

Below are results for the rest of Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting 9 along with fight photos courtesy of our very own Paul Erickson.
