We spoke to F2W / WGC’s Brett Boyce earlier this morning where he announced to us the final configurations for the upcoming superfight tournament scheduled for the 2012 Texas Open on November 17th at the Legends Sports Complex in Houston, TX.

This will be a winner-take-all tournament with $1,000 in prize money for the winner in each of the two divisions (-200, -155).

Also, while fan voting played heavily into deciding the final competitor list, there were other considerations in play as well so don’t be surprised If there are slight variations versus what you expected solely on that factor.

As for the competition itself, it will kick off at 1PM on tournament day, November 17th with all contests held to an 8-minute time limit under normal F2W/WGC advanced No-Gi division rules.

We’ll bring additional details as we receive them but in summary, weigh ins will be right before the competition kicks off and pairings will be drawn at random with ten minute notice before competitors step onto the mats.

We’ll be announcing a contest soon to pick the winner of these brackets. In speaking with Brett, the prize could include FREE registration to all F2W/WGC tournaments for all of 2013 so make sure you stay tuned here at TXMMA.com.
