Galvao expected to step back onto the mat this October.

So it looks like the rumors of a huge October ‘Super Fight’ event in SoCal featuring some of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling world’s top superstars are coming to closer to fruition with acknowledgement of the upcoming event yesterday from Andre Galvao on his instagram account and through his official academy blog.

The event is said to be taking place in San Diego, California’s Viejas Casino on October 14th.

That puts the event in San Diego on the same day of the ADCC North American Championship qualifier event happening at Mira Mesa High School, presumably earlier on in the day that this other completely separate event.

Though it’s important to note that no official announcement has been made from event organizers regarding this separate superfight-centered event, Galvao did make mention of his planned superfight with Ryron Gracie along with several others – all said to be 20-minute submission-only matches!

With both this blockbuster show and ADCC North America Trials happening at the same time, look for all eyes to be directed at the Socal town for a full day of high-level Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling action.

Can Buchecha continue his run against 10x world champion Roger Gracie?

All matchups currently rumored (but said to be highly likely) for this upcoming event so far include:

► Andre Galvao vs. Ryron Gracie
► Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida vs. Roger Gracie
► Jeff Glover vs. Caio Terra (or Rafael Mendes)
► Dean Lister vs. Kevin Casey
► Kron Gracie vs. Otavio Souza
► Rafael Lovato Jr vs. Kayron Gracie

All superfights will be 20-minutes in duration under submission-only rules. Once officially announced, expect tickets to go on sale later this month.

We’ll have more on this information on this potential event here on TXMMA.com as its announced.
