Douglas Frey looking to drag TUF vet Chris Tickle into deep waters before drowning him this Friday at Legacy 13

ARLINGTON, TX, August 15, 2012 – Douglas Frey has been expecting a tough fight coming in preparation for Legacy Fighting Championship 13 on AXS TV this Friday night.

The Arlington-based fighter was originally supposed to face UFC veteran Junior Assuncao before the Brazilian pulled out three weeks ago due to injury. He’ll now face another fighter with UFC ties in Chris Tickle.

As an opponent, Tickle had become known just as much for his antics on The Ultimate Fighter Live as he was for his performances in the cage. He won his first fight on the show only to lose his second yet he remained prime camera fodder for the reality show.

“I don’t really know too much about him (Tickle) other than what I’ve seen on the show,” says Doug. “He was a knucklehead on there but I don’t really care about that. I’m focused on beating him and winning this fight instead of anything he’s done in the past.”

Recently married to his longtime girlfriend and now wife Jinh Yu, Doug spent some time relaxing as of late but got right back to work for this fight, putting in an 11-week training camp in preparation to fight in front of hometown fans in Dallas.

“I’m only as good as my last fight and my last fight was horrible,” he says. “Fighting is my dream job and I want to continue happily living it. I know I can fight well against anyone put in front of me and August 17th will be no different. I’m going into (Legacy 13) looking to drown Chris Tickle. I want to push the pace on him and put him in deep water to drown him. He won’t bring anything to the table that I haven’t seen before. I can win this fight anywhere. This is my fight, my victory. Sorry for ya Chris Tickle.”
