SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 4, 2012 – Premiere Combat Group returned to Cowboys Dance Hall for another exciting edition of Cowboys Extreme Cagefighting this evening.

Making their third appearance of the year at their staple venue, tonight’s card featured a welterweight title bout between Lester Clark and Jared Perez anchoring the card. Nine other bouts were also on tap and our correspondent Brett Fitzgerald was on hand covering all the action.

The main event between Lester Clark and Jared Perez began with both fighters walked to the cage looking calm and composed for one with the title belt on the line. It was a close fight early with both trying to gain the advantage and control. The round ended with Lester on his back with Perez standing over throwing 4-5 decent shots with one landing clean.

The second round was much more conclusive for the Corpus Christi fighter as Jared Perez was able to set up an arm triangle choke to win by submission at 1:25 of round two and head back to South Texas as the PCG welterweight champion.

In the co-main event of the evening, Tyler Lasater of Seguin MMA fell behind after being docked a point for graving the cage. His opponent Wade Alison was able to weather the storm and set up submissions of his own. It didn’t come without a price though as he was gassed going into the second round. Laster wasted no time in trapping him against the cage. It was there that he teed off on Wade who could do nothing but cover up until the referee was forced to stop it up TKO.

Next up was a battle of undefeated fighters with 4-0 Tyler Keen taking on 2-0 Alex Hernandez.

This could very possibly have been the fight of the night as the two went back and forth for three rounds of action. Tyler would do well in working effectively from his rubber guard but Hernandez seemingly dictated the tempo and where the action took place for much of the bout. In the end that proved to be the difference as Hernandez earns the judges’ decision to stay undefeated.

The rest of the undercard proved to be action-packed with only one fight making it to the judges’ scorecards.

Xavier Soto looked impressive in his heavyweight fight against Jesus Aguillon. Soto would quickly gain Aguillon’s back and flatten him out and finish him with strikes reminiscent of Matt Hughes’ UFC win versus Royce Gracie. 1:04 in round one by TKO.

Michael Brasher was able to win by TKO over Tyler Pacheco in round two after a disputed stoppage of the bout due to a bloody nose sustained by Pacheco. No word if it’s broken or not but it was enough to put a stop to the bout in this case.

Bobby Alexander overwhelmed Kane Gutierrez quickly in their fight as he swarmed across the cage and set up a guillotine choke that would eventually put his opponent out cold for the first round submission victory.

Eric Almazan, Tyler Ball, and Kevin Holland would complete the winners circle for the evening with wins over Jacob Landin, Angel Ruiz, and Richard Bailey respectively.
