ARLINGTON, TX, June 26, 2012 – We briefly spoke to Team Execution’s Aldo Davila recently regarding his upcoming bout this Saturday night in Odessa, TX at the America’s Most Wanted pro show being put on by Fabian Butler and 24/7 Entertainment.

According to Aldo, his goal in this fight is to put his name on the map as a fighter to watch out for with his performance against Anthony Tatum – who’ll likely be keeping the same goals in mind when it comes to his own career.

Read on for Aldo’s thoughts on this upcoming fight.

Interview – Aldo Davila (Team Execution)

How did you get in MMA? Tell us a little bit about your background with the sport.

I got into MMA a few years back because it was something that always interested me. I have always been involved in sports and MMA seems to be the purest and most challenging sport to me so I started getting into it back home in El Paso, mainly training with my brother Arturo who is an amateur fighter.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far?

I feel that the most important part of the sport is realizing that it takes a tremendous amount of dedication to be able to be successful. It takes teammates and family and friends to be supportive for one to get through a training camp and get the results one hopes for.

Are there any memorable moments so far?

The most memorable moment in my career I would have to say was winning a championship during the amateur part of my career. In my third fight I was offered a title fight which I of course took and won via TKO.

How would you describe yourself to the average fan?

I believe that being as professional as possible during my preparation for a fight. I take it very seriously, what we do. It is fun and there’s plenty of goofing around but when it’s time to grind its’ time to grind. That’s who I am.

What do you do outside of training?

Other than MMA I really don’t have any other hobbies, I try to just relax and hang out, watch TV but more than anything I work. Then in my spare time I try to rest and relax so that I can get enough energy to work and train as much as possible.

So you’ll be taking on Anthony Tatum at America’s Most Wanted this weekend in Odessa. What do you know about your opponent and how do you expect this fight to go?

I don’t know anything about my opponent to be honest with you, I never really know too much about the guys that I fight and that’s okay because I’m not worried about what the person on the other end of the cage can do. My only concern and focus is what I can do and what my skill set and coaching will allow me to do.

I have been training with the same group of guys that I have been with for about a year now, Team Execution under the direction of Head Coach Brandon Crick. I have received a lot of help from the whole crew. I believe we are one of the top teams in the area so I’ll be ready. It’s gonna come down to who the better fighter is on the 30th and I plan on coming back home with a win, I don’t care how I get it as long as my hand is raised as the winner I’m satisfied.

What can the crowd expect from you on fight night?

The crowd can expect to see me come out and put my talents on display, I always aim to put on a good showing, I always come out to fight and put on an exciting performance. I will leave all that I have with me in the cage and I don’t expect anything but a win.

Win, lose, I want to keep on fighting and stay active. No more long layoffs.  I want to fight more consistently and hopefully my performance gets my name out there. I’ll fight whoever, wherever.

Any last words?

I would like to thank you for the opportunity and time, I would like to thank my family, friends and teammates as well and hope to see everyone out on the 30th.
