EDINBURG, TX, March 28, 2012 – Fresh of their co-promoted event with Bellator less than a week ago, Ultimate Warrior Fighting (UWF) today released details on their next several events featuring “Tournament of Warriors,” a dual tournament with eight lightweights and eight welterweights fighting for a $25,000 grand prize in each division and the inaugural UWF title in each of their respective divisions.

The tournament is set to commence with the round of 16 taking place at UWF II on May 4th in Corpus Christie while the following round will take place May 26th in Laredo at UFC III. The tournament will come to a conclusion with the grand finale for each division taking place June 30th at the UWF IV event set for Hidalgo, TX.

As far as experience goes, there’s no shortage of it to be included in this tournament with all the competitors slated to compete having five fights or more. They’re coming from far and wide too with some or our native Texans comprising much of the brackets but other challengers also coming in from out of state and even out of country.

Take a look at the brackets below and stay tuned for a more in-depth look at both tournament brackets here on TXMMA.com in the very near future. (Records as listed on Sherdog / MMA.tv)
