Legacy Fighting Championship 8 – Quick Results
• 170Ibs (Title) – Jorge “Macaco” Patino vs Pete Spratt
Gold Team leader “Macaco” got the judges call in a split decision victory after five rounds of back-and-forth action to win the Legacy Welteweight Title. With this victory now comes speculation of a potential catchweight bout with none-other than HDNet’s Frank Trigg.
• 185Ibs – Andrew Craig vs Eric Schambari
Houston’s Andrew Craig took a huge step up with a decision win over Las Vegas native Eric Schambari. The bout would see Schambari come out strong and take the Houstonian’s back in the first round only to see the Team Tooke fighter defend well before swinging the fight in his momentum and eventually taking the win.
• 135Ibs – Steve Garcia vs Steven Peterson
North Dallas representative Steven “Ocho” Peterson came into Houston and made a statement to validate himself as a top fighter in the state with a convincing first round submission win (guillotine choke) over game fighter Steve Garcia.
• 185Ibs – Larry Crowe vs Ike Villanueva
Larry “Tae-Kwon” Crowe lived up to his nickname with a left high kick knockout of Saul Soliz protege “Hurricane Ike Villanueva. Very impressive victory for Crowe.
• 170Ibs – Rashon Lewis vs Ricardo Talavera
Rashon “Sho-Nuff” Lewis picked up a decision victory, albeit a highly-disputed one, over Pittsburgh’s Ricardo Talavera. Much of the debate in this one surrounds the 30-27 scorecard turned in by Judge Joe Soliz.
• 185Ibs – Bubba Bush vs Joshua Foster
College Station’s Bubba Bush won the battle of the “Texas country boys” with a dominating three round performance over Longview native Josh Foster.
• 170Ibs – John Malbrough vs Jeff Rexroad
“The Maniac” came out strong in the first round only to see “The Executioner” Jeff Rexroad swing the tide in the second and pick up the submission.
• 170Ibs – Evert Gutierrez vs Alex Morono
Close fight between two tough young fighters. It went to a split decision that saw Alex Morono pick up the unanimous decision this time around.
• 135Ibs – Nate Garza vs Cody Williams
Cody Williams beat Nate Garza in a convincing fashion with a first-round KO that should make “The Wolverine” one of the most talked about young fighters in the state.
• 170Ibs – Mark Garcia vs Lee King
Veteran Lee King showed his experience in marking his Legacy debut with a first round TKO over “Kan’t Get Right” Garcia.
• 155Ibs – Kenneth Battle vs Justin Reiswerg
Justin Reiswerg opened the HDNet card at LFC 7 with an impressive victory. Last night, he opened up a can of whoopass to start the entire card with a TKO over Kenneth Battle.
