AMARILLO, TX, September 8, 2011 – “The Machine Gun” Artenas Young (7-3) finally gets feature status for the Shark Fights promotion on October 15th when he takes on undefeated top contender Clifford Starks (6-0) in the co-main event of the Shark Fights 20 event set for Laughlin, Nevada.
As announced on tonight’s presser, the Houston native and Team Hoger member has been on a tear since joining the Shark Fights organization, beating rising prospects Kyle bracey (4-2) and Evis Mutapcic (9-2) in his last two bouts while developing under the tutelage of both Sam Hoger and the team over at Jackson’s MMA, where he’s spent the bulk of his time training earlier this year.
In this upcoming fight, he’ll be taking on another tough prospect in Starks, who has beaten his last three fights by first round TKO. Despite that pedigree, “The Machine Gun” is as confident as he’s always been. “It doesn’t matter if he’s 6-0 or 0-6, he’s just another guy in for a bad night,” said Young. “Cliff’s a one dimensional fighter and I’m about to show him another dimension.”
This bout and the rest of Shark Fights 20 will be broadcast via tape delay on the FUEL TV network beginning November 4, 2011
