Shark Fights 16 Set for this Saturday in Odessa!

ODESSA, TX, June 21, 2011 – After a brief foray into New Mexico to hold their first show outside of Texas, Shark Fights returns to the Lonestar State this coming Saturday June 25th for their latest event. The Shark Fights 16 show will be held in Odessa’s Ector County Coliseum and UFC veteran Josh “The Dentist” Neer (29-10-1) in a welterweight matchup against California’s Jesse Juarez (15-6-0).

Co-headlining the show will be longtime Houston resident Artenas “Chico” Young (6-3-0), who makes his return to the Shark Fights cage after a spectacular showing in his last appearance. Artenas, also known as the “Machine Gun,” last took on Kyle Bracey at Shark Fights 15, TKO’ing the heavily-favored wrestler in the first round. He now makes his return against Elvis “The King” Mutapcic (8-1-0), another up-and-comer coming into this bout with a five-fight win streak.

The rest of the main card is chock-full of Texas’ finest with fighters coming to fight from all corners of the state from West Texas and the Panhandle to Houston and the Rio Grande Valley!

Notably on the main card, Anselmo (Luis) Luna of Seminole, TX will try to extend his record to 7-0 when he does battle against 7-2 Danny Salinas of Edinburg. Also on the main drew is always-exciting Rey Trujillo (8-5) from Houston, who will try to come back from three consecutive defeats against Plainview’s Isais Martinez (7-3). To conclude the main card, Joseph Sandoval (5-0) of Lubbock will take on Odessa’s own Randy Hinds (5-4) in a West Texas showdown.
