PRESS RELEASE…………… March 18, 2008
MAY 17, 2008 – RICHARD M. BORCHARD FAIRGROUNDS (CENTRAL PAVILION ARENA) – ROBSTOWN, TEXAS.

RVCD Promotions Inc. presents Katana Cagefighting, Texas newest authority in mixed martial arts promotion. Katana features an aggressive Corpus Christi, TX based team of Voss, Dittman, and Troglen, looking to expand this mainstream mixed martial art sport through live event and television production. Katana Cagefighting is positioning itself to become the newest up and comer in mixed martial arts sports entertainment.

RVCD Promotions Inc. along with Hurtlock, are actively recruiting twenty fighters from all across Texas to be pitted against one another in no-holds-barred extreme cage fighting. Corpus Christi’s own “H-Train” Hector Munoz will be headlining the inaugural fight card of Katana Cagefighting here on May 17, event President Ron Voss announced. “The Awakening,” as the event is being billed will feature Munoz and a line-up of other local and regional pro mixed martial artists. Hurtlock, Katana’s official matchmaker states “Hector Munoz is one of the most prolific Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners at his weight, so I’m looking forward to matching him up with someone who is equally talented.”

Chad Dittman, Vice President of Katana Cagefighting and Owner of the Corpus Christi Hammerheads states that “Texas Cage fighters come from many backgrounds and are respected as some of the best athletes in the world! Wait to they see how we do things here in the south.”

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the fights start at 7:00 p.m. Come and enjoy non-stop cage fighting action, the latest music, smoking hot Hammerhead Cheerleaders (Ring Girls), and Damage Inc. Fight Wear merchandise give-a-ways! The party is all under one roof at the Central Pavilion Arena on May 17, 2008.
