Texas Gladiators Fight Team: Fighters, Competitors, Coaches and Trainers,
I know some of you personally, others I do not. The purpose of this correspondence/letter is because I feel we have in this state the strongest and most skilled fighters that ever lived. Skilled fighters for whatever reason yet without an opportunity to showcase their talent and skills in a venue. This is why we are forming the TEXAS GLADIATORS FIGHT TEAM to have you represent in sanctioned events throughout Texas, the Southwest and beyond. Presently, we are scheduling fighters in fight venues all across the country. Our main focus is to start off with promotions primarily in the South…then expand nationwide. On December 7th the Texas Gladiators will represent in Dana Pitchers Promotions “Powerhouse Fighting Champions” hosted in Shreveports Municipal Auditorium. It will be televised nationally and attendence is expected at 3000+. The Texas Gladiator Fight Team participates only in legitimate promotions known to take care of its fighters in travel expenses/hotels for amateurs and fair pay for professionals. I’ve initially contacted a few fighters, coaches and associations and I have fighters representing in every weight class and appreciate the positive response from a few of you. TEXAS GLADIATORS FIGHT TEAM TRYOUTS! Dec 1, 2007…. Do you want to be a fighter? Is your Instructor holding you back from fighting and competing in the Cage? Want someone you can count on to travel with you and corner you in the cage and ring? If you can make it through the Texas Gladiators 2 hours open tryouts you can earn the chance to be called a TEXAS GLADIATOR. We are looking to bring in new talent into the GLADIATORS FIGHT TEAM. Trainees will complete a rotation of various stations. Each station is specifically designed to test a fighter’s skills in 3 major areas measuring standup, takedowns and ground fighting skills. Typical stations include 1 mile sandbag run/400 meter sprints/100 meter sprints/Skill Specific Plyometrics/Olympic Drills/Sled Drills/Focus Mitts/Muay Thai Pad Drills/Live Sparring in Boxing,MMA, JiuJitsu and Wrestling…finished by another 1 mile sandbag run. If you feel you have what it takes to make it as a Texas Gladiator and want to try out to do so in the near future please contact us for more information. But please, only apply if you are serious!
