Real No Holds Barred Cage Fighting

(June 14, 2007) – IFC Global Domination Inc. today announced the fight card for IFC GLOBAL DOMINATION taking place on July 14th at the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville , La. Some of the best fighters in the world will be meeting in the IFC steel cage for a one night party of pure action. It’s just about anything goes – punching, kicking, throwing, choking, arm bars, ankle locks – it’s all happening here. You’ve seen these guys fight for the money on TV, now catch the action live at the Paragon Casino and Resort.
The event will feature a four man fight-off for the first World Cruiserweight Championship in Mixed Martial arts history. Competing for that title will be UFC and Pride veteran Travis Wuiff out of Minnesota , the undefeated up and coming Californian Jared Hamman, European Champion Rogent Lloret from Barcelona , Spain , and Brazilian Jair “Sorriso†Goncalves. IFC fighters come from many backgrounds; they are respected as some of the best athletes in the world. Most use a combination of boxing, wrestling, open hand combat and martial arts fighting techniques in the cage. Bouts can be won by knockout, submission or by the scorecard. There are three five-minute rounds in a non-championship bout and five five-minute rounds in a championship bout. Known for their extreme, no holds barred fighting in the steel cage IFC fighters will do anything necessary to win.
In a co-feature event 4 great middleweights will square off in a single elimination tournament. They include Steve Renaud of California , the Chicago areas Bill “The Truth†Hill, Brandon McDowell from Austin and Jon “El Jaguar†Kirk from Pasadena , Texas . Also on the card is a women’s battle between California ’s Sarah Cron and Missouri ’s Hannah Doak and five other scheduled fights.
