The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) style of fighting has become extremely popular and has stimulated growth in the combative sports industry over the past year. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) regulates these MMA events.

Therefore, in an effort to further enhance combative sports safety and the effectiveness of referees, and in accordance with Rule 61.21, the TDLR’s Executive Director has approved this MMA Training Seminar. Individuals wishing to become MMA Judges should also attend, in order to advance their skills and knowledge in this area.

International Freestyle Fighting and the Laurence Cole Insurance Agency are sponsoring the training seminar.

The training seminar will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the:

Hilton Hotel (formerly Radisson Hotel)
815 Main Street
Fort Worth, TX

9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

The registration fee is $75.00 and is payable to:

Laurence Cole
P.O. Box 600183
Dallas, TX, 75360

Any excess funds will be returned to attendees on a pro-rata basis.

Nelson “Doc” Hamilton, who is a pioneer in the MMA industry and was instrumental in the development of the MMA unified championship rules, will present this training seminar. Space is limited to 40 individuals, and attendees will be taken on a first-come basis. If you are interested in attending, please send your check to Laurence Cole at the address listed above.
