To anyone interested in applying for season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter, the application is in Adobe Acrobat format and available at http://www.theultimatefighter.tv/application.php . It would be great to see more guys from Texas on the show. The two known biggest reasons that a lot of fighters dont make it on the show are: 1. They don’t apply. Too many guys dont get it together or dont get the materials in on time; and 2. A fair number of guys fail the drug test. Now these two issues are fairly known, there are lots of talented guys in the US that could get on the show and just don’t because they either dont send in an application or they’re on gear or any other variety of recreational stuff they shouldnt be on, and test hot when it’s time to do the UA.
Bottom line – if you want to have a shot at the show then you have to apply, and get on it early and don’t mess around – and you need to be able to pass a drug test. If you cant potentially pass NSAC scrutiny then you are useless to the show.
That said, if you are from TX and want a shot, please send in an application to the show. If I recall it is going to be for similar weight classes to season 1 – middle and light heavy. Let’s get some more guys from this state on the show to represent. -Paul
