Paul Martinez (Bushi-Ban, debut) vs. Randy Hauer (Third Column)
Round 1:ÿ Both close throwing strikes, Hauer initiates the clinch and takes it to the ground,

Lee King (
Round 1:ÿ
Both quickly skirmish and clinch against the ropes, King takes Anthony down and gains side mount.ÿÿÿ Anthony is able to turn his hips and stand, and they fight for control in the standing clinch.ÿÿÿ Both jockey for advantage in the clinch in the corner as they exchange knees.ÿÿ Njokuani gets both arms in and begins to gain control, keeping king in the corner and landing knees and punches to the body.ÿ King breaks loose as Anthony lands several hard body and leg kicks.ÿ King closes to clinch again, and Njokuani knees King to the body from the clinch against the ropes as the round ends.
Round 2:ÿ Anthony lands a hard low kick to start, and both exchange body and low kicks.ÿ Njokuani is the aggressor, as King closes to clinch in the corner and the two fight for position in the clinch.ÿ Njokuani keeps his position as King attempts to use a head and arm throw and as the two go down and get tangled in the ropes, the ref stands them up.ÿ King is able to surprise and take Anthony down after the standup and get to side control, and then mount.ÿ King throws some strikes and seemingly is looking for the submission, as Njokuani defends and tries to pull King tight to shut him down, and the round ends.
Round 3:ÿ
The two exchange kicks and punches, with Anthony gettingÿ the better of it, and King catches a kick and tries to take Njokuani down, and the two get tangled in the ropes and get stood up.ÿ Anthony takes it to King and lands a HARD kick to the body, and begins to work knees and punches, and a stray knee hits king in the groin.ÿ On the restart King stalks Anthony looking to catch a kick, he takes a couple of kicks for his trouble, manages to catch one, but can’t capitalize.ÿ Anthony gets back to outside range and begins to work King’s lead leg each time King attempts to close.ÿ Altman keeps telling King to shoot a double but King continues to fight a standup battle with Anthony.ÿ Anthony initiates a clinch and some hard knees, and drives King to the corner, controlling him as the bell sounds. ÿUnanimous decision for Anthony Njokuani.
Match 3 Middleweight
Craig Huffman (
Round 1:ÿÿ They close; Alcala immediately goes for the bodylock and his trademark slam, landing in Huffman’s guard.ÿ Huffman quickly escapes and reverses into Alcala’s half guard.ÿ Huffman tries to pound to the body as Alcala goes for a guillotine.ÿ It doesn’t look like Alcala has it, as he has one of Huffman’s arms inside but cranks it hard and gets the tap from the guillotine anyway at approx 1:15 of R1.
Match 4 Heavyweight
Jose Luis Munoz (Team Pound) vs.ÿ Jimmy Cleaver (Relson Gracie Austin)
Round 1:ÿ The two smile at each other during the staredown and go after each other at the bell,ÿ Cleaver able to mount Munoz, Cleaver goes for a leglock and there’s a scramble, Munoz escapes and takes Cleaver’s back, comes over the top for an armbar, almost has it but Cleaver is able to escape, scramble, and end up in Munoz’s half guard.ÿ Cleaver lands several shots to Munoz’s head and throws a closed fist and is stood up and warned by ref Vanya Dedushev.ÿ A stunned Munoz is checked by the doctor, and the fight is stopped amid boos, and Munoz wins by disqualification due to not being able to continue.ÿ The crowd is not happy.ÿ Looking at Munoz’s face after the fight, apparently he took a thumb in the eye as one of his eyes was seriously bloodshot.
Match 5 Heavyweight
Bounyasone “Bone” Sayavongsa (Baylor JJ) vs. John Flores (Team Pound)
Round 1:ÿ Bone comes out colorfully to the DiVinyls’ Touch Myself and wears boardshorts.ÿ Both immediately trade at the bell, Bone stuns with a hard high kick and the two flurry in the clinch, but neither is able to capitalize and continue to skirmish on the feet, both landing at times.ÿ Bone manages to clinch, bodylock, and outside trip to take
Round 2:ÿ
Round 3:ÿ Both trade, both land a couple of good shots but Bone charges Flores and takes him down in the corner, Flores again cannot contain Bone within guard, as Bone throws strikes down and keeps out of Flores’ control.ÿ A fan tells bone to drag him to the center of the ring and Bone does it with a thumbs up to the crowd’s amusement.ÿ The two get stood up and begin to trade again, both landing a few blows but Bone backing
Yves Edwards is introduced as a special guest; he steps into the ring for a few words.ÿ Starts cutting on Tank’s crew, calls Ruiz a midget and says he’s going to beat him and bring him back home to make him sandwiches.ÿ Promises to defeat everyone at 155, (referred to himself as the future lightweight champion).
Match 6 Super Heavyweight
Ty Baker (Integrated Arts) vs. Jonathan Ivey (Integrated Fighting)
Round 1:ÿÿ Ivey rushes Baker and Baker avoids him, landing a palm to the head, Ivey rushes him again and Baker clinches, Ivey jumps to guard and Baker jumps and slams him flat to the mat.ÿ Baker lands in Ivey’s half guard but Ivey is working hard at tying up Baker’s arms.ÿÿ Baker does manage to get his arms free to throws shots to the body and head, but Ivey is able to turn his hips and go for a heel hook, Baker defends and there’s scramble, they get back to the feet and trade strikes, Baker is able to come up with the takedown again and this time gets side mount.ÿ Baker begins to land some good shots to the head, and is able to pass to full mount.ÿ Ivey quickly turns and goes for a kneebar, Baker defends and wants to go for a leg of his own, but is actually able to escape and end on top of Ivey to close the round.
Round 2:ÿÿ Ivey quickly tries to clinch off a couple of strikes and wants to drop to guard, but Baker does not bite and his able to quickly take Ivey’s back in the scramble.ÿ Ivey turtles and turns to his side as Baker rains strikes from mount.ÿÿ Baker goes for the
Match 7 Super Heavyweight
Javier Mejia (Team Pound) vs.ÿ Steve Jimenez (Krav Maga)
Round 1:ÿ Mejia RUSHES Jimenez and clinches with him in the corner, Jimenez tries to throw strikes to Mejia’s back from the clinch, throws a few knees, Mejia tries to clinch again and Jimenez hits him with another good shot, Mejia lands a low kick and is able to take Jimenez down with a low single and a slam, ending in sidemount.ÿ Jimenez eventually scramble, and Mejia goes for a kneebar in the scramble is and is unable to get it, Jimenez gets mount and lands strikes, Mejia is unable to escape from under his mount, as Jimenez lands various strikes, and even is able to take Mejia’s back and go for a rear naked choke / neck crank but to no avail.ÿ The round ends with Jimenez still in mount.
Round 2:ÿ Jimenez lands a couple of kicks then beings to punch flurry as Mejia clinches and pulls him to guard… Mejia attempts to sit through and go for a kneebar but ends up giving Jimenez mount, and Jimenez begins to land strikes to Mejia’s head again.ÿ Mejia bumps and reverses Jimenez but they go in the ropes and are stood up.ÿ They begin to go back to a standup game, with Jimenez getting the better of it; Mejia is obviously tired and mostly defensive.ÿÿ Jimenez is getting into a better groove, picking shots and landing to Mejia’s lead leg.ÿ Mejia goes for the low single with his head to the outside and again gets crossfaced and sprawled on by Jimenez who defends the shot well to close the round.
Round 3:ÿ Jimenez lands hard low kick and some ineffectual knees as Mejia drives him around the ring looking for the takedown.ÿ Jimenez is able to get back out though and lands some more good low kicks to Mejia’s lead leg.ÿ Mejia continues to give ground, and is unable to get anything going.ÿ Mejia does land a hard overhand shot though.ÿÿ Jimenez continues to stalk Mejia around the ring, landing unanswered shots as Mejia continues to try and clinch and take Mejia down.ÿ Mejia tries to fall to guard but Jimenez is able o get mount and rain blows down to end the round, landing several good shots.ÿÿÿ Jimenez wins by unanimous decision. The Krav Maga guys go nuts.
Match 8ÿ Lightweight Championship
Nick Gonzalez (
Round 1:ÿ They immediately clinch, Long drives Nick to the corner, and they fight for control in the clinch.ÿ Long pressures Nick’s back against the ropes and tries to get inside control and throw Nick, but Nick’s wrestling experience shows as he turns with it and reverses it on the way down, ending in Long’s guard.ÿÿ Gonzalez works the body as Long ties him up and begins to work his legs up for a submission.ÿ Long begins to set up for a triangle and Gonzalez tries to get out but Long hooks a leg and keeps him controlled.ÿ Gonzalez eventually escapes from his control, and they are able to scramble and get back to the feet, where they clinch and end up in the corner, infighting within the clinch to close the round.
Round 2:ÿ Gonzalez starts to work his striking a little, landing hard body kick to Long and getting some jabs in.ÿÿ Long seems at a striking disadvantage to Gonzalez but is firing back gamely.ÿ Long also lands a couple of leg kicks and clinches with Gonzalez, who throws some knees inside the clinch.ÿ Long is able to gain inside control and bodylock in the clinch and drive Gonzalez to the corner.ÿ Gonzalez feels Long setting up for the takedown so he sages against the ropes and pummels inside Long’s bodylock to break the clinch.ÿ They go back to standing striking, with Nick barely missing a spinning back kick that gets the crowd excited.ÿ Both land various strikes but without doing serious damage, as the round ends.
Round 3:ÿ Both skirmish on the feet, with Gonzalez eventually closing to clinch and driving Long to the corner, throwing knees and looking to drop for the single or trip to take Long down.ÿ Long defends well, reversing Gonzalez and going for the outside trip to take Nick down, however Nick is saved by the ropes twice and the ref stands them back up for the restart.ÿ Long lands a couple of goodÿ low kicks on the restart and they go back to skirmishing,ÿ with both fighters landing punches and kicks but Gonzalez having better technical skills and experience onÿ the feet. Long does manage to land some hard leg kicks though.ÿ The two continue to trade as the bell sounds.
Round 4:ÿ They immediately clinch and Long drives Nick to the corner.ÿ Gonzalez defends, but Long is able to get inside for the bodylock.ÿ Gonzalez defends Long’s throw and outside trip attempts several times, sagging against the ropes at times, but Long is finally able to turn away from the ropes and take Nick down, but they scramble, Long seems to take Nick’s back, then Nick takes Long’s back, Long scrambles and gets to his feet, they go back to fighting in the clinch in the corner.ÿ Gonzalez is able to change level inside the clinch and ties up Long’s legs and take him down, and takesÿ Longs back and throws strikes down, and Long goes for a kneebar but is unable to lock it out, eating strikes from Gonzalez as the round ends.ÿ Unanimous decision for Nick Gonzalez.
Match 8 Heavyweight
Brandon Mc Dowell (Relson Gracie Austin) vs. Edwin Allseitz (Independent)
Round 1:ÿ They rush each other and Mc Dowell goes for a side choke from standing and takes Edwin down, ending in side mount.ÿ McDowell looks for the far arm but Edwin defends, and
Round 2: ÿThe two exchange some strikes,ÿÿ Brandon goes for a low single and takes Edwin down, ending in side mount.ÿÿÿ Edwin turns and
Round 3:ÿ They close, and McDowell goes for a low single and takes Edwin down again in the corner.ÿ Edwin locks up his guard and pulls McDowell close, but McDowell is able to pass to side control and land a few strikes.ÿÿÿ Edwin again is turning a hip into McDowell looking to reverse/escape, but McDowell maintains control from side, throwing strikes.ÿ Edwin gets to turtle and seemingly tries to spin for a kneebar but ends up going to open guard and they tangle in the ropes and ref Rick Blalock stands them up.ÿ
