Hi everyone….ÿ Thanks to Houston Machado blue belt Josh Hill, we have full results and round by round fight summaries for last Friday’s Renegades Extreme Fighting show at the Verizon Wireless Theater.ÿ Saul Soliz again managed to get a great crowd of roughly 15-1700 even despite the fact it was Good Friday and the beginning of Easter weekend.ÿ Another great show in the can, with an appearance by Yves Edwards and tons of new Renegades merchandise on sale.ÿ Click on READ MORE to see all the results, and we should have photos up shortly.

Fight 1 Lightweight Final:ÿ Randy Hauer (Yves Edwards) v. Matt Horning (Hammer House)


Round 1:ÿ Randy started off this round with a good takedown, but Matt was able to get back to his feet.ÿ Randy then pulled off quite possibly the best takedown of the night when he scoop-slammed Matt pro-wrestling style.ÿ Randy then passed Matt’s guard.ÿ The fighters ended up on their feet again and Randy executed another takedown and then flurried from inside Matt’s guard.ÿ The round ended with both fighters on their feet and Randy flurrying with punches and kicks.


Round 2:ÿ Randy took Matt down and went straight to side control.ÿ Matt was able to get Randy into his guard, but Randy quickly passed.ÿ Matt rolled to his stomach and Randy got behind him and threw some heavy strikes.ÿ The fighters then stood up and Randy, while clinching Matt from behind, threw a huge knee.ÿ Randy then took Matt down and passed his guard to close out round 2.


Round 3:ÿ Randy threw a nice high kick in the beginning of the round.ÿ He followed the kick with a flying knee that grazed its target and made him just about jump over Matt.ÿ Randy got back to his feet and took Matt down, passed his guard, mounted him, and then took his back.ÿ From the back position, Randy threw some pretty heavy hits.ÿ The fighters got back to their feet and threw a beautiful high kick to finish the round.


Winner:ÿ Randy Hauer by unanimous decision 30-27

Fight 2 Middleweight:ÿ Carlo Prater (Yves Edwards) v. Adam Arrendondo (Anthony Macias)


Round 1:ÿ Carlo throws a stiff left that drops Adam.ÿ Carlo gets side control and throws some heavy strikes as the ref stops the bout and Adam taps the mat simultaneously at 17sec. of round 1.ÿ It appeared that Adam injured his arm on the way down.


Winner:ÿ Carlo Prater by TKO :17 round 1

Fight 3 Middleweight:ÿ Lee King (Houston Kickboxing) v. Eric Pierce (Hammer House)


Round 1:ÿ Eric gets the takedown and flurrys from inside Lee’s guard.ÿ The ref eventually stands them up and Lee throws 2 nice high kicks.ÿ The ref calls a time out because Eric’s mouthpiece falls out.ÿ Eric shoots a takedown, but Lee defends.ÿ Lee throws a high kick and 2-3 low kicks that hit their mark.ÿ Lee throws another low kick and steps away and throws a front push kick that lands to Eric’s face!ÿ Eric closes out round 1 with a takedown.


Round 2:ÿ Eric shoots a takedown, but Lee lands a nice knee to Eric’s face on his way down.ÿ They both strike while on the ground and the ref eventually stands them up.ÿ Eric finishes round 2 by taking Lee down.


Round 3:ÿ Eric starts round 3 with a takedown.ÿ The fighters don’t do much on the ground so the ref stands them up.ÿ As Eric shoots in, Lee throws a great knee that draws blood and knocks Eric down.ÿ Lee gets side control.ÿ The ref stands the fighters up to check Eric’s cut and the fight is over at 2:49 of round 3.


Winner:ÿ Lee King by TKO 2:49 round 3

Fight 4 Heavyweight:ÿ Jose Luis Munoz (Team Pound) v. Edwin Allseitz (Tim Mousel)


Round 1:ÿ Both fighters exchange a few slaps on the feet until Luis takes Edwin down.ÿ Luis lands some good body and face strikes from inside Edwin’s guard.ÿ Eventually the action slows down and the ref stands them up.ÿ Luis once again takes Edwin down, but Edwin manages to work back to his feet.ÿ Edwin then takes Luis down and mounts him and sinks in a guillotine choke.ÿ Luis taps at 2:31 of round 1, but Edwin lies on the mat for a while motionless and causes confusion as to who won the fight.ÿ The announcer first announces that Luis won, but is quickly corrected and announces that Edwin was the winner.ÿ


Winner:ÿ Edwin by submission 2:31 round 1


Fight 5 Heavyweight:ÿ Aaron Pendleton (Austin, TX) v. Christian Rotharmel (New Orleans – Leonardo Xavier)


Round 1:ÿ Christian gets the takedown, passes Aaron’s guard to get side control, mounts Aaron, gets Aaron’s back and lands some heavy strikes until the ref stops the bout at 1:24.ÿ The fight was announced as a win via submission, but it appeared that the ref stopped it.


Winner:ÿ Christian Rotharmel by submission 1:24 round 1

Fight 6 Super Heavyweight:ÿ Javier Mejia (Team Pound) v. Ray Hubbard (James Cooper)


Round 1:ÿ Javier unsuccessfully attempts a takedown and the three hundred something pound Ray answers with some heavy strikes.ÿ The ref splits them up and Javier again unsuccessfully attempts a takedown only to receive some more heavy strikes.ÿ Ray crossfaces Javier with what can only be described as the crossface from hell.ÿ He then lands some pretty heavy strikes from behind.ÿ The ref eventually stands them up and Ray lands some good strikes.ÿ The round ends with Javier attempting a takedown and Ray landing 2 solid knees to the body.


Round 2:ÿ The 2 fighters exchange strikes, with Ray getting the better of the exchange.ÿ Ray throws a good knee and then pulls Javier down to the mat and spins behind.ÿ They both stand up and Ray lands a stiff left.ÿ Ray then lands some good punches and knees to the body.ÿ Javier again attempts a takedown, but Ray defends well and gets side control.ÿ Ray lets Javier up and Javier lands a hard right to Ray’s face.ÿ Ray answers with a solid knee to the face that knocks Javier down and Ray finishes the round by striking his downed opponent.


Round 3:ÿ Javier doesn’t answer the bell and the fight goes to Ray.


Winner:ÿ Ray Hubbard by TKO :10 round 3

Fight 7 Super Heavyweight:ÿ Brandon McDowell (Relson Gracie Austin) v. Adam Pace (Aaron Pendleton)


Round 1:ÿ Brandon enters this fight looking leaner than ever before at ~215lbs.ÿ He takes Adam down, mounts him, and slaps away relentlessly until Adam submits.


Winner:ÿ Brandon McDowell by submission :39 round 1

Intermission:ÿ After the 7th fight, Yves Edwards got into the ring to hype up his upcoming UFC fight.ÿ He badmouthed Ruiz and submissions.ÿ The crowd went wild when Yves, talking about submissions, said, “I don’t play that shit, I knock people out!”

Fight 8 Middleweight Non-tournament bout:ÿ John Flores (Alice, TX) v. Frank Alcala (Team Pound)


Round 1:ÿ Frank shot a perfect double and slammed John to the mat hard.ÿ Frank then passed 1 of John’s legs to be on top inside of John’s « guard.ÿ Frank threw some good strikes from on top and then passed John’s guard and secured an Americana lock for the submission.


Winner:ÿ Frank Alcala by submission 1:53 round 1

Fight 9 Middleweight Final:ÿ Carlo Prater (Yves Edwards) v. Lee King (Houston Kickboxing)


Round 1:ÿ Carlo took Lee down almost immediately, mounted him, and then armbarred him, finishing the fight quickly in 41 seconds.


Winner:ÿ Carlo Prater by submission :41 round 1

Fight 10 Heavyweight Final:ÿ Christian Rotharmel (New Orleans – Leonardo Xavier) v. Edwin Allseitz (Tim Mousel)


Round 1:ÿ Edwin no shows due to injury.


Winner:ÿ Christian Rotharmel by default

Fight 11 Super Heavyweight Final:ÿ Ray Hubbard (James Cooper) v. Brandon McDowell (Relson Gracie Austin)


Round 1:ÿ Brandon unsuccessfully attempts a takedown and ends up on bottom.ÿ He eats a pretty good knee to the body before the ref stands them up.ÿ Brandon attempts another takedown and Ray whips him over.ÿ Brandon then has the crowd on their feet as he gets Ray’s back and sinks in a rear naked choke.ÿ Ray moves towards the ropes and attempts to throw Brandon out of the ring.ÿ Everyone is going crazy and it looks as if the fight is about to be over when somehow Ray manages to escape the choke and end up on top of Brandon on the mat.ÿ The ref eventually stands them up and Brandon unsuccessfully attempts 2 more takedowns.ÿ Ray ends up on top after the 2nd attempted takedown inside Brandon’s « guard.ÿ Ray attempts a guillotine choke, but fails and then the bell rings to end the round.


Round 2:ÿ Brandon attempted and failed 3 takedowns before the 2 had a small exchange of strikes on their feet.ÿ Brandon almost manages to take Ray down near the ropes, but the ropes save Ray.ÿ They both stand and Brandon again attempts 2 more takedowns unsuccessfully.ÿ Brandon lands a good body kick to Ray and then attempted another takedown at the bell.


Round 3:ÿ Brandon attempted a takedown in the beginning of the round but was unable to finish it.ÿ Brandon then shot another takedown right as Ray was throwing a knee.ÿ The knee connected with Brandon’s face and the ref stood them up, saw Brandon was dazed, and called the fight.


Winner:ÿ Ray Hubbard by TKO 1:11 round 3
