(Richardson, Texas) The ‘Fightatorium’ celebrated its one year anniversary here Saturday night with it’s second installment of IKF/NACSO-sanctioned action on the 5-bout fight card. As the calendar continues to roll towards the IKF TEXAS CHAMPIONSHIPS to be held at The Richardson Civic Center on June 21 & 22; local, state & regional competitors continue to keep their amateur careers active and vie for favorable placement in the ‘Championship’ brackets. The action from Saturday night (Feb 22nd) saw the following results:
EXHIBITION #1-Kornelija Numic (6-1/2KO’s) vs Cody Smith (5-5)> Smith wins on points. EXHIBITION #2-Greg Liflayandsky (1-0) vs Jonathan Funderberg (0-0)>Liflyandsky wins on points.
MATCH #1: Katy “Steel” Frame (0-0) vs Emily Lawson (0-0)–Frame wins her amateur debut and TKO’s Lawson in the 2nd round.
MATCH #2: Will “Slick” Ford (0-0) vs Doug “Colorful” Peacock (0-0)–Ford KO’s Peacock atÿ 1min & 38seconds of the 1st round.
MATCH #3: John “The Greek” Vakidis (5-1/2KO’s) vs Freddy Espiricueta (2-0-1)–Vakidis wins via TKO at the conclusion of round 1, Espiricueta loses contact lenses and cannot continue.
