TIGER SCHULMANN’S KARATE STUDENTS VICTORIOUS

January 23, 2002, This all took place at the Action Martial Arts Mega Martial Arts weekend in Atlantic City NJ on January 19, 2003. Two of Tiger Schulmann’s Karate’s students went to the Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City to compete at the “War At The Shore” tournament, this was the tail end of this mega martial arts weekend of kickboxing, banquets and awards. Instructors and students came from as far away as California to be a part of this event and test their skills against all the different Dojo’s that were represented there. Click READ MORE to see all the details.

Eric Camacho from TSK captured 1st place in the black belt division for traditional forms, 1st place in the black belt division for weapons, and 2nd place in the black belt division for sparring, this young black belt has captured titles in several different tournaments over the years and at the age of 10 his future will just continue to get brighter. He is also currently featured in the commercial for Tiger Schulmann’s Karate which is aired on the east coast. He is a true champion and is looked up to by his peers as an inspiration. Keep an eye out for him in the future.

Ashley Torres also from TSK captured 1st place in under black belt advanced forms and 2nd place in intermediate under black belt sparring. Over the past year she has experienced some great moments in her life, in November of 2002 she was named one of three Amazing Karate Kids! of the month from the nationally recognized Amazing Kids!. In October of 2002 she was the student spotlighted by the site dedicated to young martial artist worldwide, Karate Kidz Online. Finally she is being considered to be inducted into the “Kids Hall of Fame” in the near future. All of this and she is only 7, her future will continue to get brighter as well.

Both Eric Camacho and Ashley Torres train under the watchful eye of Sensei Bryan Gotthoffer and they were very proud to be able to represent their Dojo at this event and all events they compete in. This just shows that hard work does have its benefits and having good instruction, parental support and discipline can make the difference.
