The North American Combative Sports Organization hosted yet another “Fight-Nite at The Fightatorium” on Saturday June 22nd. In the opening bout of the evening, 11-year old Levi “The Cobra” Best pitted his mobility against the superior size of 13-year old Chris “The Destroyer” Royer. The two youth competitors fought to a 3 round draw, with Royer finally prevailing on points in the crowd-pleasing 4th-round “fight-off”. In the evening’s 2nd bout, light heavyweight Jarrett Simpson from Houston’s Bushiban stable KO’d opponent Jamaal Watson with a spectacular spinning hammer in the 1st round. The night’s 3rd bout saw middleweight “Irish” Kerry Collins run his record to an impressive 6-1/3KO’s with a 1st-round TKO of Brandon Kruger. Fight #4 pitted cruiserweights Chris Boutte and Sammy Frankel against one-another. In a gamely fought contest, Boutte prevailed on the judges’ cards to run his record to 5-1. The main-event was a contest of super-middleweights as Ben Apolito of Allen’s Krav-Maga took on Andrew Goldthwaite from George Prevalski’s school. In an exciting bout that went back and forth, Apolito won a judges’ majorityÿby the narrowest of margins. NACSO’s next event is on July the 13th at ‘The Fightatorium’ in Richardson, with several very seasoned amateur fighters from Conan Mincey’s Studio in Norman, Oklahoma making their way South to take on local competitors from areas schools.
