I understand the rules of the tournament and will abide by them. I understand that I am participating in an event that has body contact. I assume full responsibility for all of my actions during and connected to the above tournament / event. I understand the risk of competing in this form of Martial Arts Competition and hereby release THE DOJO MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL and all of its employees and associates, tournament sponsors, & JIM’S GYM, from any type of injury, loss, or death sustained while competing in this competition. I understand that in case of an emergency, I hereby authorize any licensed medical personnel to perform any accepted medical procedure deemed necessary and I agree to bear the expense of any such treatment. Standard Rules


1. UnSportsman like conduct will result in disquilification of the whole tournament.
2. All matches are ruled and judges by 3 judges. One head judge and two side judges.
The referee in not considered a judge, just a referee
3. This is a no point tournament. Winner must win by submission. If there is no submission by the end of the designated time period, there will be an overtime. If there is not a winner after the overtime, the winner will be based off of the overtime match only. The three judges will descide who wins based upon:
a. Control of the match
b. Working for finishmove’s

4. Mouthpiece & Groin Protector’s required forYouth Divisions.
5. No Striking is Allowed
6. Everyone must have trimmed nails (finger’s & toe’s)


1. No Single Finger Manipulations
2. No Knee or Ankle twisting Manipulations e.g. Heel Hook

It’s real easy to get here because IH-35 runs right through San Marcos. It is about 35 minutes South of Austin, TX and 50 minutes North of San Antonio, TX. Both the Hotel and the Tournament location are off of IH-35.
