‘JIU JITSU Outdoor Experience’ the latest event to bring Houston’s BJJ community together

HOUSTON, TX – A cool new event for Houston’s BJJ Community hit the ground running this past Sunday, June 7th. Taking place on the green lawn at the Bellaire Recreation Center, JIU JITSU Outdoor Experience was put together by Angelus McFarlane and team with the goal of bringing local grapplers together for a large scale, outdoor open mat experience. That means anyone regardless of gender, experience level, affiliation or attire preference (GI or NOGI) was welcome to come experience the art of BJJ devoid of any type of politics or mat fees. All they asked was that practioners bring great attitudes and extra mats if they had them. Based on both community feedback and attendance numbers (over 100+ individuals attended the debut event), it was a smashing success.
